The Job's I've Held
Inspired by an email exchange with friends I decided to compile a list of every job I’ve held since I was 15 years old in chronological order. I included everything I could remember regardless of the time I spent doing it. I also included internships. The question now is should this list take the place of my current professional resume.

Phone Calls - A Short Story by Me
Mary Lou stayed up most nights talking on the phone until 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning. She talked about what had happened to her during the day, about sermons her pastor gave, and she reminisced about her dead mother. She had a loud, shrill voice that carried through her apartment walls as if they were then cotton sheets. The neighbors that shared walls with Mary Lou were used to being woken up...

Screw You MTA Bus Driver!!
I’m really excited about my bike right now so pardon the self indulgent post that nobody is going to care about (not that anyone cares about any of my posts). I just got my bike out of the shop where they replaced the brakes, changed all the cables and housings, switched the old suspension fork for a rigid one, trued the wheels, and gave ‘er a tuneup. All in it cost me $195....
Urban Dictionary: Social Notworking
Urban Dictionary: Social Notworking
The practice of spending time unproductively on social-networking websites, especially when one should be working. Joe - Hey, Mark is constantly updating his Facebook status, does he not have any work to do? John - His company obviously doesnt realise how much Social Notworking he is doing!

Before Mexico’s drug war broke out, when law enforcement and politicians were still turning a blind eye to the powerful drug cartels, and daylight shootouts with automatic weapons and hand grenades weren’t everyday occurrences, my wife and I would fly out of Tijuana to visit her family in Guadalajara. We would drive two and a half hours south from Los Angeles, cross into Mexico in Otay Mesa, and...

**We realized after we posted this that Citlalli’s Haiku isn’t actually a haiku. It’s still pretty cute though.

Microsoft Word Says The Internet Is God
The Internet is God. At least according to Microsoft Office. I’ve been noticing recently that every time I type “the internet” into a word doc. The grammar check function underlines it in green. When I right click it tells me I need to capitalize the word Internet.
I have a B.A. in English, and I like to think I have a relatively good grasp on the English language, but I...

LinkLog For Anyone Needing Help With Twitter
I joined micro-blogging site Twitter last November (@eyevandrago). My younger brother (@mrjonsmith) tipped me off to it. Initially, I found a few old colleagues, started following some celebrities and news outlets, and used it mainly as a satellite function to update my Facebook status. I installed TinyTwitter on my Blackberry in order to stop burning valuable text messages on status...

This may be interesting for anyone obsessed with LA and its geography like I tend to be. It’s fun to see if you live where you think you live (or in my case livED since Burbank isn’t included.)

Living In The Era Of Cute by Jeremiah Smith
Last Saturday night I went out drinking in downtown Los Angeles. As I was walking up to The Edison on 2nd and Main I updated my status from my Blackberry. “Out boozin’ in downtown”, I informed my 22 Twitter (@eyevandrago) followers and 384 Facebook friends. Throughout the night I was snapping pictures of my fellow revelers with my digital camera. The next morning I woke up at 9:00 AM, and...
